Proponen en Arizona "ciudad de carpas" para recluir indocumentados
El tesorero estatal de Arizona, Dean Martin, propuso este martes la creación de una gigantesca cárcel dotada de carpas para albergar a bajo costo a los indocumentados que sean detenidos en esta entidad tras la entrada en vigor de la ley SB1070.

Those chilling words were spoken by James Pendergraph, then executive director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Office of State and Local Coordination, at a conference of police and sheriffs in August 2008. Also present was Amnesty International's Sarnata Reynolds, who wrote about the incident in the 2009 report "Jailed Without Justice" and said in an interview, "It was almost surreal being there, particularly being someone from an organization that has worked on disappearances for decades in other countries. I couldn't believe he would say it so boldly, as though it weren't anything wrong."
Guard at Private Immigration Prison Fired for Sexual Assault
And a prison guard at a privately run Texas immigration jail has been fired for allegedly sexually assaulting several women prisoners. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says the guard groped several women and forced at least one woman to have sex with him while transporting them to their deportation flights. ICE says the company hired to run the prison, Corrections Corporation of American, is on probation pending the outcome of a probe into the allegations.

El Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE, por su sigla en inglés) dice que el guardia manoseó a varias mujeres y obligó a al menos una de ellas a tener sexo con él mientras las transportaba a sus vuelos para ser deportadas. El ICE dice que la empresa contratada para dirigir esta prisión, Corrections Corporation of American, está a prueba a la espera de los resultados de una investigación sobre estas acusaciones.
